N 44°41’06” W 67°10’50”
Geology:
Cutler Dump: This is an excavation in the Pond Ridge Moraine that served as the Cutler town dump. Here the exposure shows that layered sand, gravel and till compose the moraine’s interior. The interfingering of glacial and fossiliferous marine sediment indicate that the moraine was formed in the ocean along the glacier’s edge. At this location, the moraine is about 80 feet high and 1,000 feet wide.
The above map marker is placed at the latitude and longitude provided in the location description.
