From Route 1, take Dyer Bay and Morgador Roads south about 3 miles to Eagle Hill Road. Eagle Hill Road is narrow and only accessible by passenger cars. Eagle Hill and the Humboldt Field Research Institute are privately owned.

Humboldt Field Research Institute: Eagle Hill, Steuben, is home to this private institute with a library collection specific to the Ice Age Trail, including books, theses, professional papers and maps. This resource is not staffed full time, but is available to the public by calling 207-546-2821.
